It has been over 25 years since Glen Daly founded Rim Guard, the company producing beet juice tire ballast.

In 1997 when Michigan native and farmer Glen Daly noticed that desugared molasses from sugar beets worked perfectly as a tractor tire ballast, he patented Rim Guard as a green solution to improve tractor safety and eliminate corrosion caused by antiquated solutions.

Tractor tire ballasting is a critical consideration for anyone who operates tractors or other heavy farm equipment. Failing to properly ballast your tires can result in a multitude of issues, including instability, decreased efficiency, potential danger to workers and animals and costly equipment damage.
